Chatham Steel Corporation has developed and implemented a comprehensive Quality Management System.

Chatham Steel has serviced the metals industry for over 100 years and offers a depth and breadth of materials and services to both nuclear and commercial industries that is second to none.

Our policy and procedures ensure confidence to our customers that all materials and services provided are certified, traceable and meet the applicable quality specifications. Our highly qualified and trained staff are equally focused on customer satisfaction and product quality.

 

Our Quality program is based upon the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 & ASME NQA-1.

Durham has received it’s ASME Section III NCA 3800 Quality System Certificate (QSC) as a Materials Organization (MO).

We also implement orders that require compliance with the applicable requirements of 10CFR71 and 72. Additionally our Quality Program is compliant to the railroad standard AAR/M-1003.

Chatham Steel has an extensive approved vendors list in support of nuclear and commercial contracts which includes; testing laboratories, steel manufacturers, processors and other service providers. Additionally, Chatham has trained and qualified Lead Auditors on staff as well as dedicated Quality Control Personnel. We maintain the latest ASTM and ASME specifications as well as a library of past specifications that are now difficult to find. In addition, we have the experience and resources necessary to execute the requirements of these Codes and Standards.
